Despite the choice of a small island as a free-noise location, good operators and a great effort on 160 meters, it has been quite difficult to work this DXpedition from Europe.

All the QSO’s have been made before 19.00 z (only a couple of Russians around 20 z) without any near sunrise peak, which is usually the best time for that area, after 21 z !

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The following DZ Atlas map shows which are the grid squares worked and it is interesting to compare it with the previous Pacific DXpeditions (see ---fiji-is..htm, t30-west-kiribati.htm and zl8x-kermadec.htm ). Noteworthy is the lack of propagation with Central and Eastern Europe which is usually the most favourite: only one QSO each in HA, OK, OM, SP and Ukraine …. what a mysterious band !
